Okay, so it's official. I've got a goal! Through work, Jeff and I as a team joined "n-lighten nebraska" which is an initiative to adopt a more healthy lifestyle. There are divisions for weight loss and increased activity - and we're doing both! It all just seemed to fall in my lap. I was more stressed out from National Boards and was just eating lots of junk, and someone at work brought it up to the group and I knew I was in.
So far (only 2 days in, I know) I've started exercising and really eating healthy and in moderation. My goal - lofty, I know - is to lose 30 lbs. The contest goes February 1st - May 1st, which isn't much time to lose so much, but I'm determined. This is a record of my commitment, mark my words!

It may only be my 6th day, but I have to say I feel so different! I've worked out every day and eaten so much healthier (and less). I have found so much focus and even begun daily devotionals with Hannah and Jeff (then a different one for just Jeff and me after Hannah's in bed). It's amazing how related the body and the spirit are.
Hooray for you and Jeff!
(and, I'm impressed with myself being able to fill this out without knowing a WORD of Spanish!)
Check-in time! How are you doing?
I'm almost back down to my best weight of last year, and then I hope to lose another 10-15 by the end of this year. (That would bring my total weight loss to 40-45 pounds!)
Well, this is great and I hope it gives you something to shoot for!
I might have to run a 5K later this year! Gulp! :)
Good luck to you and keep it up!
Still doing great - today is day 17 of exercising every day! I either walk outside, go to the gym, or do the elyptical thingy in the basement. I have hardly eaten ANY sweets at all and don't even crave them, it's weird. I've lost 7 lbs, and know it's probably even better than it sounds because I've gained muscle. I've gone down 2 belt loops :)
Good for you!!! That's awesome! We'll look and feel so great in Honduras. You keep it up too and we'll make each other accountable :)
